1.7. 1 Information on the broker
CaixaBank Payments & Consumer E.F.C., S.A.U. (CaixaBank Payments & Consumer) acts as an intermediary in the insurance contracting process as a tied bancassurance operator for VidaCaixa S.A. de Seguros y Reaseguros (VidaCaixa) and SegurCaixa Adeslas S.A. de Seguros y Reaseguros (SegurCaixa). It is registered in the special administrative register of insurance brokers of the Directorate-General for Insurance and Pension Funds under number OV0077, as can be verified with this entity, with its registered office at Paseo de la Castellana 44, Madrid (Postcode 28046), telephone 91 339 70 00, www.dgsfp.mineco.es.
The parent company of CaixaBank Payments & Consumer owns more than 10% of the share capital of VidaCaixa and SegurCaixa.
It acts as a data processor for personal data collected in connection with the formalisation of the insurance contract, with the insurance companies for which it brokers this transaction being the data controllers.
The aforementioned insurance meets the customer's needs and requirements, based on the information provided by the customer, and its main characteristics are specified below:
Life insurance: insurance intended to cover the payment of the outstanding principal of the loan/credit disbursed as of the date of death. Additionally, the insurance policy may include coverage for severe disability, purchase guarantee, fraudulent use, unemployment/temporary disability, and/or compensatory automobile indemnity.
In the event of a discrepancy between these needs and requirements and the terms established in the contract, if signed, the Insurance Contract Law provides a period of one month from the insurance contract date to resolve any existing differences. Once this period has elapsed without the contracting party filing a claim, the provisions of the policy stand.
The advice is provided for the purpose of taking out an insurance policy and not for any other product that the broker may market.
